All India Granites and Stone Association (AIGSA) has been working since 1983 for the progress and scientific development of the stones industry as well as in removing obstacles to achieve rapid and constant growth. Over the years, it has successfully created maximum awareness in the international stone markets for exotic Indian stones and brought continuous interaction between Indian ornamental stone industries and world stone trade. All along, the Association has been very aggressive in taking the problems to concerned authorities, knocking the doors of the lowest to the highest and solving them by getting positive and favourable action to help and augment India’s stone trade. As the only premier body at national level to speak and serve for India’s stone industries, AIGSA takes under its umbrella all those involved in granites, marbles, slates, sand stones, lime stones, quartzites etc., in whatever capacity they are in: Quarry lessees, processors of finished products, suppliers of plant and machinery, manufacturers and suppliers of consumables, diamond tools, traders and agents etc. In short, who ever are in ornamental building stones industry in India directly or indirectly can enrol with the Association and enjoy the privileges of being so. Over the years, the Association has gained the reputation of being the prime organisation on India’s reserves of various granites, marbles and other stones, where to find them, whom to approach, how and where to source with the right contacts. The Association presently has 244 life members, 100 ordinary members and 3 NRI members on its roll taking the total number of members to 347. We invite the stone fraternity in India and abroad to join the Association and strengthen the stone industry and also derive benefits from the joint efforts of AIGSA. There is no bar, anyone from the stone industry from anywhere in the world can become a member of AIGSA. |
